Product description
Compact USB-C Power Delivery module with 5–20 V output voltage. Allows a USB-C PD power supply or charger to be used as a power source for electronics projects and other DC-powered devices. The module negotiates the desired output voltage via USB Power Delivery (USB-PD).
The desired output voltage is configured using solder jumpers on the back of the PCB and can be set to 5 V (default), 9 V, 12 V or 20 V. To obtain the selected output voltage, the connected USB-C PD power source must support the requested voltage. The USB-C PD power source must also be capable of delivering at least 15 W.
If the connected USB-C PD power source does not support the selected output voltage, the module will request the next lower supported voltage. For example, with the module set to 20 V, the output voltage may be 12 V or 15 V instead.
The module is supplied with a pin header for connection to breadboards and prototyping boards.
Note! Always check the output voltage with a multimeter before connecting the module to the intended device. This is to ensure that the output voltage matches the selected setting and that the connected USB-C PD power source supports the requested voltage level.
