Kemo M091A is a phase coupler intended for installation in distribution boards where HomePlug / PowerLine / PowerLAN is used for network communication over the mains supply. A phase coupler creates high-frequency capacitive crosstalk between phases in a controlled manner. This significantly improves signal propagation, especially for mains wall outlets located on different phases within the electrical installation of a building. The result is more stable communication, higher data throughput, and reduced performance variation. The product is installed by a qualified electrician on a standard DIN rail in the distribution board and is designed for continuous operation. It only works for outlets within the same electrical installation behind a single electricity meter. It does not work between different electricity meters.
