Product description
2-channel optocoupler module for galvanic isolation of digital signals between industrial control systems, PLCs, sensors, and microcontrollers. The module is used to transfer digital control signals from, for example, 24 V systems to electronics with 3.3 V or 5 V logic levels, or vice versa, from 3.3 V or 5 V to 24 V systems. The optocouplers provide electrical isolation between the inputs and outputs, helping to reduce interference and protect sensitive electronics.
The optocoupler inputs feature current limiting, allowing signals from approximately 3 V up to 24 V to be applied. The optocoupler output is inverted by a transistor, restoring the same polarity as the input signal and increasing the drive capability. The output supports voltages up to approximately 30 V.
The galvanic isolation allows two completely separate electrical systems to be connected without the risk of flashover, interference, or ground loops. The optocouplers used provide isolation up to 5000 V.
The maximum transmission speed is somewhat limited, with a maximum signal frequency of approximately 10 kHz.
Screw terminals and pin headers with 2.54 mm pitch are included. These provide a convenient way to connect jumper wires or mount the module on prototyping boards or breadboards.
