Product description
Motor driver based on the ST VNH5019 for bidirectional speed control of a brushed DC motor. The driver is a complete H-bridge with support for PWM control up to 20 kHz. The module supports logic levels from 2.5 to 5 V, allowing direct connection to both 3.3 V and 5 V systems.
Motor direction is controlled via the INA and INB inputs, while speed is controlled using a PWM signal. An analogue current-sense output provides a voltage proportional to the motor current. LEDs indicate the output direction and activity even when no motor is connected.
The module features protection against reverse polarity, overvoltage, undervoltage, overtemperature, overcurrent, and short circuits to ground or the supply voltage. At high loads, the continuous output current depends on cooling conditions. A heatsink can be used to improve heat dissipation.
