Product description
The Miniware MHP50 is a USB-powered hot plate for soldering, with many different applications. From pre-heating before hand soldering, to reflow-style soldering of SMD components, to soldering and desoldering components onto boards with a large thermal mass, e.g. ground planes.
With the built-in temperature profiles and cooling fan, the MHP50 can be used for assembly and soldering.
The temperature profiles provide the same functionality as a reflow ovens and can be set with preheating, timed heating, soldering and cooldown phases.
The temperature can be adjusted from 100 to 350° C, meaning it is compatible with lead-free solder.
Different temperatures can be saved by default and changed quickly and easily with buttons. Current and set temperature are shown on the display.
Thanks to a fast and precise PID regulation of the temperature, it stays within ±3%.
Powered by USB-PD or via 2.5/5 .5mm DC jack (though not both at the same time!). Maximum power 150W (PD) / 130W (DC).
The MHP50 is available in two different versions with different materials in the heating plate.
The dark hot plate is made of ceramic-covered brass (similar to the MHP30) and provides a smooth surface that is easy to clean.
The light hot plate is made of aluminum, which provides a little more even heat dissipation.
