Product description
PDM MEMS microphone, compact and digital audio sensor based on MEMS technology. The module is designed for projects where you want to work directly with digital audio via PDM (Pulse Density Modulation), making it particularly suitable for microcontrollers with built-in support for PDM or I2S. It eliminates the need for analog amplification and provides a stable, low-noise signal flow.
The breakout board is populated with the MP34DT01-M microphone IC and is delivered fully assembled. The product includes a pin header (not soldered) for use with, for example, breadboards. With low power consumption and broad support for platforms such as Arduino and CircuitPython, the module is suitable for everything from sound detection and data acquisition to voice control and IoT applications.
The digital PDM output requires a clock signal from the microcontroller and then provides a data stream that can be processed directly in software. Channel selection (left/right) enables the use of multiple microphones in the same system.
