Cordless soldering iron 36W TS1C

Cordless soldering iron with 36W power and boost function. The iron is charged in the base station (stand), and can handle an impressive number of soldering operations before it needs to be recharged, up to 180 soldering joints on 0805 components. Exactly how many depends on the size of the soldering points, choice of solder, and many other factors.

Pressing the boost button on the pen heats it to 400°C - perfect for stubborn solder joints on e.g. large ground planes.

The TS1C is ideal for repairs where access with a traditional wired soldering iron is difficult, e.g. as soldering on car electronics or in larger appliances which don’t fit on the workbench.

The energy storage in the pen is based on supercapacitors (with a total capacitance of 750F), providing low weight, fast charging and long life, with up to 10,000 discharge cycles. The base station is a stand, charger and controller in one, and communicates with the pen over Bluetooth (BLE). The station is powered by USB-C PD 20V, at least 45W is recommended. 

The pen heats up to 300 degrees in about 25 seconds, but if you use the sleep mode (250 °C when the pen is in the stand), heating to working temperature only takes a few seconds.

The soldering pen uses the same type of active soldering tip as the TS-80P. In active tips, the heating element and temperature sensor are placed near both the tip and each other, which provides faster heating and better temperature control than traditional tips with a separate heating element. The pen can also be charged directly with USB-C.

Settings, current temperature, etc. are displayed on the stand’s built-in 128 x 64 pixel OLED display. By uploading a 128 x 64 pixel image (bitmap - .bmp) you can have your own splash image displayed when the station starts.

The holder for cleaning foam can be attached in three different places, where other future expansions can also be attached.

Comes with the soldering iron, base station, USB-C cable with silicone insulation, cleaning sponge and a conical 0.2mm tip (TS-B02).
