Pico-UPS-A is an expansion board for the Raspberry Pi Pico series that functions as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). The module is designed to ensure stable operation even in the event of external power loss, making it suitable for embedded systems, data logging, and battery-powered applications.
The board features an integrated Li-ion charging circuit with dynamic power path management, allowing the load to be powered while the battery is charging. In case of power loss, the system automatically switches to battery operation without restarting the Pico.
Via the I2C interface, battery status can be monitored in real time, including voltage, current, power, and remaining capacity. The module is also equipped with multiple protection features such as overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, short circuit, and reverse polarity protection, ensuring robust and reliable operation.
The Raspberry Pi Pico connects to the board via standard headers and includes indicators for charging, operating status, and battery warning. Suitable for both prototyping and finished designs.
