Product description
EK029 Police Flashing Strobe with 24 LEDs – A soldering kit from Electrokit. Simulate emergency police light patterns with this educational electronics kit.
The EK029 is a compact and instructive kit that creates a flashing light pattern using 12 red and 12 blue LEDs – inspired by the signaling patterns of American police vehicles. It’s ideal for those who want to explore digital logic, timer circuits, and transistor switching.
The flashing sequence is controlled by a 4017B decade counter, whose outputs are activated sequentially and combined using diodes to form a simple OR-logic. This results in three rapid blue flashes followed by three rapid red flashes. The clock pulses are generated by a classic NE555 timer with adjustable frequency. Each LED is driven via an NPN transistor (BC547C), ensuring reliable operation even under higher current loads.
This kit is excellent for hands-on learning in electronics education or as a rewarding hobby project for the tech enthusiast.
