Product description
Adafruit STHS34PF80 is an advanced IR sensor for presence detection, motion detection, and temperature changes. Unlike traditional PIR sensors, no Fresnel lens is needed, making the module easier to integrate into compact enclosures and discreet installations. The sensor can detect both stationary and moving objects at distances of up to approximately 4 meters.
Communication takes place via I2C, providing access to detailed measurement data instead of a simple digital trigger output. This makes the module suitable for smart automation systems, energy saving, IoT solutions, occupancy-controlled lighting, and advanced motion analysis. The board features a built-in regulator and level shifting for use with both 3.3 V and 5 V systems.
With Qwiic connectivity, the sensor can be connected quickly without soldering. Pin headers are included (not pre-soldered) for connection to, for example, a breadboard.
