Product description
Serial I2C converter for alphanumeric LCD displays with a parallel interface. The module provides a simpler way to connect LCD displays since only clock and data are required instead of 16 connections. Works with all displays using an HD44780 controller and with all microcontrollers that support I2C. Three solder jumpers on the board are provided to change the I2C address. The default address is 0x38 or 0x20 depending on which PCF8574 manufacturer is used (NXP or TI). A trimmer potentiometer is included for contrast adjustment.
