Product description
HX711 is a 24-bit analog-to-digital converter designed for precision measurements in weighing systems and industrial control solutions. The circuit is intended for direct connection to bridge sensors and provides two differential input channels. Channel A offers selectable gain settings of 128 or 64, while Channel B has a fixed gain of 32. With a 5 V supply, this corresponds to a full-scale differential measurement range of up to approximately ±20 mV at gain 128, ±40 mV at gain 64, and ±80 mV for Channel B.
HX711 includes a low-noise active amplifier stage, an ADC, and an internal regulator for the analog section. This allows both the converter and an external load cell to be powered from the same source. The circuit can operate from a 2.6 to 5.5 V supply and has a typical current consumption of about 1.5 mA, with only 2 µA in standby.
Data output is provided serially via DOUT and PD_SCK, with no need for internal register configuration. The update rate is selected through the RATE pin and can be 10 or 80 samples per second when using the internal oscillator. An external clock or crystal can be connected for improved timing accuracy and to synchronize the ADC process with other system electronics.
