Product description
Adafruit TMAG5273 (A2) is a 3D Hall effect sensor for contactless position and motion detection using a magnet. The sensor measures magnetic fields in three axes (X, Y, and Z) and is well suited for rotary controls, joystick solutions, presence detection, and industrial automation. The built-in CORDIC engine enables angle calculation up to 360°, making it well suited for magnetic encoders and precise position measurement. The A2 version has an extended measurement range compared to the A1 model and is suitable for stronger magnetic fields or greater distance between the sensor and magnet. Communication takes place via I2C, and the board is equipped with dual Qwiic connectors for quick solderless connection. A built-in temperature sensor also provides basic temperature readings.
