Product description
MQ-8 hydrogen (H₂) sensor. The sensitive material in the MQ-8 gas sensor is SnO₂, which has low conductivity in clean air. When the target gas is present, the sensor’s conductivity increases in proportion to the gas concentration. A simple electronic circuit can be used to convert this change in conductivity into a corresponding output signal that represents the gas concentration.
The sensor can be mounted on a suitable breakout board 41004066.
Specifications:
- High sensitivity to hydrogen (H₂)
- Adjustable sensitivity
- Drivspänning: 5 V
- Power consumption: 900 mW, the sensor becomes warm during operation
- Detection range: 100–1000 ppm
