Product description
MQ-4 semiconductor sensor for measuring CNG / methane (CH4) in air. The sensor can detect concentrations between 300 and 10,000 ppm. The MQ-4 features high sensitivity and fast response time. The output provides an analog value in the form of a resistance. The drive circuit is very simple: the sensor is connected to 5 V, GND, and via a resistor to an A/D converter. Note that the sensor has relatively high current consumption, so a suitably rated power supply is required.
The sensor can be mounted on a suitable breakout board 41004066.
