DuPont Pyralux AC is a single-sided copper-clad laminate for manufacturing flexible cables and circuit boards. The material consists of copper foil laminated with polyimide and is intended for thin, lightweight circuits with high component density. The material can be cut with scissors and processed using conventional manufacturing methods for flexible circuit boards. The laminate is only 0.08 mm thick and can be used to make flexible circuit boards and ribbon cables, such as FPC and FFC. The copper layer is 35 µm thick and covers one side of the laminate. It is etched in the same way as conventional copper-clad laminate.
