UART Fingerprint Sensor (D) is a compact and integrated fingerprint sensor designed for biometric identification in embedded systems. The module communicates via UART and can be easily integrated with microcontrollers, Raspberry Pi, or other systems requiring secure authentication.
The sensor uses capacitive sensing with a built-in Cortex-based system together with a commercial fingerprint algorithm. This enables functions such as enrollment, image capture, feature extraction, template generation, storage, and fast fingerprint matching without the need for external algorithm processing.
The round sensor has a compact form factor. Thanks to simple UART control, the module can be operated using straightforward commands, making it suitable for both prototyping and finished products such as access control systems, smart locks, and identification systems.
The sensor provides fast recognition and high accuracy, with low power consumption and support for sleep mode. It is also equipped with ESD protection and is designed for operation in industrial environments.
Includes a connection cable to 6x Dupont female connectors.
