Electronic switch module, featuring the smart High-Side FET switch BTS7008, with integrated diagnostics and current sensing. The module is perfect for controlling power to a connected load using regular logic signals while also monitoring the current drawn by the load.
The switch will handle any resistive, inductive and capacitive load with up to 11A continous current. The rated voltage for the switch is 18V, but it can be used with voltages up to 28V without damage and up to 35V intermittently.
The module measures the current consumption, with the data in the form of an analog voltage proportional to the load. The voltage output makes monitoring current consumption easy with an analog input of a connected microcontroller. Default scaling for the current sensing is 0.3V/A which gives a full-scale reading of 3.3V at 11A. A solder jumper can be cut to increase the scaling to 0.5V/A for use with 5V systems, where a full-scale will be 5.5V at 11A.
The module is protected against over-voltage, reverse voltage and loss of ground and over-temperature.
