Product description
Programmable clock generator with Si5351A, three individually programmable outputs and a frequency range of 8 kHz to 160 MHz. This module from Adafruit is designed to generate precise clock signals and other frequency signals. It is controlled via I²C and equipped with Qwiic connectors.
The Si5351A uses an onboard 25 MHz precision crystal as a reference for its internal PLL circuits and frequency dividers. Through I²C programming, three independent outputs can be configured to generate different frequencies. The outputs provide signal levels of 3 Vpp.
The module has holes for pin headers, making it suitable for use with breadboards. Output 1 can also be fitted with an SMA connector for RF applications (not included).
Two Qwiic connectors allow solderless connections to microcontrollers and other I²C modules. The module features an integrated 3.3 V voltage regulator and level shifters, making it compatible with both 3.3 V and 5 V power supplies and logic levels.
Adafruit provides libraries and programming examples for Arduino-compatible microcontrollers as well as CircuitPython/Python.
