IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • The battery does not include a built-in protection circuit and must therefore be used together with an external protection circuit (PCM) or a BMS (Battery Management System).
  • The protection circuit protects the cells against overcharge, overheating, overcurrent, deep discharge, and short circuit. If any parameter exceeds the acceptable range, the BMS protects the system by shutting down the process or issuing an alarm.
  • Incorrect charging or discharging can lead to thermal runaway, which is the cause of explosive failures and fires in battery cells. A protection circuit is essential for safe use.
  • By ensuring that charging takes place under controlled conditions, harmful wear is limited, allowing optimal cell performance to be maintained over a long period of time, even after many charge cycles.

Safety instructions:

  • Never charge or discharge without a protection circuit (PCM / BMS). Maximum charge voltage is 4.2 V.
  • Never deep-discharge – do not allow the cell voltage to drop below 2.5 V.
  • Do not discharge the cell at a higher current (A) than specified.
  • Do not charge the cell at a higher current (A) than specified.
  • Do not short-circuit the cell.
  • Do not mix cells of different types, brands, or different states of use in a battery pack.
  • Use the cell only within the temperature limits specified by the manufacturer.
  • Do not use cells with physical or functional damage – dispose of these through recycling.
  • Do not allow contact with water or other liquids.
  • Never reverse the polarity of the cell.
  • Never solder directly to the cell terminals. Use a dedicated battery spot welder for nickel strips or use a battery holder.
  • Do not expose the battery to strong mechanical shocks.
  • Do not immerse the cell in water or seawater, and never allow it to come into contact with moisture or liquids.
  • Do not disassemble or modify the cell.
  • Do not use or store the battery in direct sunlight or in a heated car exposed to sunlight.
  • Keep the battery out of reach of children.
  • Do not handle or store the cell together with metal objects that may cause a short circuit.
