Argon ONE V3 M.2 NVMe Case expands the storage capabilities of your Raspberry Pi 5 with the included M.2 NVMe expansion board. The enclosure allows Raspberry Pi 5 to boot directly from an M.2 NVMe SSD and provides faster storage access through the PCIe interface.
Support for M.2 NVMe drives up to 2280 form factor (full size). An integrated heatsink for the SSD helps keep temperatures down for stable long-term operation. The included impedance-controlled FPC cable contributes to reliable data transfer.
Argon ONE V3 M.2 NVMe Case has been updated for Raspberry Pi 5 and features a new black finish. Cooling has been improved with a programmable 30mm PWM-controlled blower fan that has been repositioned for more efficient and quieter operation. Passive cooling has also been enhanced with heatsinks for both the CPU and power management chip on the Raspberry Pi 5.
Communication and power management are handled through Raspberry Pi's RP2040 chip, providing support for features such as fan control and various boot settings. Using the jumper pins inside the enclosure, the system can, for example, be configured to automatically power on after a power outage.
The power button on the rear can, together with an open-source script, be used for safe shutdown, reboot, and forced shutdown. Two full-size HDMI ports are located on the rear for convenient dual-monitor connectivity. A magnetic cover provides access to the color-coded GPIO pins.
The built-in IR interface makes the enclosure compatible with the Argon IR remote control, making it well suited for media center applications. Optional support for a 3.5mm audio jack is available through an internal DAC audio board upgrade.
