Adapter board for using surface mount LEDs (SMD-5050) with breadboards, prototyping board or with wires. The inputs and outputs are adapted for LED packages with three integrated resistors (see related products).
In addition to the LED, the board also has footprints for three surface-mount resistors (0805 package) for current limiting If you prefer to use external resistors or want to use the board with LEDs with other pinouts, these can simply be short circuited with component legs or 0-ohm resistors. Or, place the minimum allowable resistor for your application’s voltage and experiment freely with external current limiting resistors without worrying about burning up your LEDs.
