LSM9DS1 is a 9-axis (9DoF) IMU sensor module. It combines a 3-axis accelerometer, a 3-axis gyroscope, and a 3-axis magnetometer in a single module. It measures motion, orientation, and direction. By combining data from all three sensors, the system can determine tilt, acceleration, rotation, and compass heading, making the board suitable for robotics, navigation, drones, stabilization, and motion tracking.
The board is Qwiic compatible for quick connection via I2C without soldering. It can also be used with a breadboard using the included pin headers (not pre-soldered). The sensor can measure gravity, motion in three dimensions, and magnetic fields to identify magnetic north, while the gyroscope measures rotation and angular movement.
