Using the SparkFun ESP32 Thing Power Control Shield, you can switch up to 5A och DC loads in your projects. The default voltage range is 5-28V, and power is connected either via a barrel connector (max 2.5A) or, for heavier loads, via the three-pin screw terminal, the third pin of which is a 5V output suitable for a cooling fan. The regulator that gives 5V to the fan also drives the ESP32 Thing board. The PCB has various bridges and places for resistors, diodes, and heatsinks, for various uses. For mor information, check out Sparkfun's hookup Guide.
