Nu har den ruskigt snabba och öppna (som i open-source) BeagleBone blivit trådlös! Borta är ethernetporten och istället finner vi både WIFI (802.11 b/g/n) och Bluetooth på kortet. Kvar finns däremot 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processorn, 512MB DDR3-minne, 4GB eMMC lagringsutrymme, microSD-läsare, 2x 32-bit 200MHz mikrokontrollers och micro HDMI. BeagleBone-hårdvaran är helt öppen och fri att bygga vidare på och modifiera hur man vill. Stöd för ett flertal öppna operativsystem finns, bla. Debian, Ubuntu, Android, mfl.
