An audio power amplifier primarily designed for car radio applications. Operates as a class B amplifier up to 10 W, when higher power is required, the internal voltage is raised to the double by the means of two external capacitors. Thanks to this technique can an output power of 30 W (typ) into 8 O at 0.5 % THD and 14.4 V be delivered. The power at 10 % THD is as much as 40 W (typ). The device is protected against short-circuit and over-heating.
