Product description
Null modem cable with 9 pin D-SUB (DB9) female to female. For serial transmission (RS-232) between e.g. two computers.
A straight serial cable is used to connect a DTE (Data Terminal Equipment) device (e.g. a computer) to a DCE (Data Communications Equipment) device (e.g. a printer).
However, to connect two DET devices (e.g. computers) with each other, a null modem cable (also known as a crossed serial cable) is needed. For this to happen, the transmit (TXD) and receive (RXD) pins on one of the serial connectors must be crossed.
